Why no 'own-brand' technology?

We are often asked why we don’t develop our own solutions, or why we stopped re-branding our partners products – and the answer is found in our ‘Innovation Off The Shelf’ strategy. There are thousands of incredibly creative, massively well funded and commendably brave tech start-ups exploring every avenue of every field in the breakneck race to bring new technology to market first. We cannot compete with these companies and be the best at delivering IT service to our clients – so we don’t try. We realise that we can deliver value to our clients by keeping in fingertip touch with the bleeding edge of technology and spotting the potential winners first.

First to market

Once a great technology is spotted and proven to be business hardened, we pride ourselves on making it digestible for our customers long before their competitors even understand the opportunity. We are your talent scout, auditioning countless innovators in search of the x-factor which makes the difference between IT budget black hole and potentially transformative technology.

What about 'specialist' 'custom-developed' software?

Our refusal to undertake complex developments is one of our great strengths. Even the simplest products we deploy, like online backup or remote desktop support, are created by dedicated class leading companies with tens of millions of dollars of R&D investment behind them.

Better still, by being transparent and only deploying best-in-class, our clients will only be using established technology from large suppliers with a wide support base thus massively de-risking the whole issue of outsourcing. In technology, more often than not, unique is a dangerous word.

So can't everyone copy you?

Yes – if they are smart enough they can work with our partners. Our uniqueness is not in choosing and selling the best products, it is in how we bring them to market and how we ensure that they earn their keep in our clients’ networks.
